Snubbed! is a capstone project about two street performers embracing the annual city festival honoring their deity of worship. As they perform, things go awry and they are forced to work together to save their city from a terrible fate…

I was responsible for prop and light character and 2D FX animation during pre-production, key, rough, and clean-up animation in production and post-production, as well as compositing. As a co-producer of the film, I made sure we were meeting deadlines for our assignments and spotting any inconsistencies in the final film before our final export. Below is my rough animation reel for the film along with select pre-production ideation illustrations.

Early FX Ideation

Here are some early 2D FX concepts when tackling the movement of the lava and star in the film. We wanted to keep the star motif throughout the film to nod back to the magic that Snub possesses and how important the imagery is to the culture we created in the film.
